The one chasing down each flamegraph symptom that his HTML rendering is slower than necessary.
The one refusing to add dependencies to his library.
The one choosing to copy the source of each dependency into his own source tree.
The one mastering C; yet feeling compelled to write a better C.

Simplicity is a choice. Simplicity is a value statement. Things don't get simpler unless somebody puts in the work.

In the world where simplicity matters, you may find peace. There are fewer moving pieces, because you removed what was not essential.

The feature was not added for its own sake, the feature was deemed necessary to simplify for the user.
